Majestic Chests that Disappear

Hmm I've just had the Centaur and Polythemus MC disappear on my warden in legendary

He's only been used offline in single player mode. What que. files etc do you edit to get Polythemus's chest back then ?

Actually, can someone post a complete Idiot's guide as to what files you need to move temporarily ? I just can't seem to get any of my chests back Even the gorgon one is gone now.

Ok, nevermind. I've worked it out. Go into the save files for the character the chests are disappearing on and move the Backup and TQVault Backup folder to some other directory. Then go into the Levels_World_World01.map folder and select the level folder that the chests aren't working on. Select all files ( 99% of these are .que files ) apart from the "fow" folder and move them to some other folder of your choosing so you can get them back later if need be.

Next, start the game with the same character, run about a bit and the exit the game. Move your backup and TQVault backup folder back to where they used to be. Now ... the only other files I moved back were the QuestToken.myw , Quest.myw and map.dat files into the Levels_World_World01 folder. I did NOT move the old .que files back. If I did I found that nothing had changed ..and the chests would still be absent.

Hope this is all crystal clear ... more like clear as mud lol. My logic tells me the problem must lay within the .que files themselves. Somehow the data contained within changes and doesn't generate the chests anymore.

I did the same thing except I DID put the old .que files back, and the chests were still there. Not sure why, but they were.

Thanks for the help , i can farm gear at Scorp boss act2 for my alt again now
(i tried both methods and you need to replace only the 3 files Map.dat QuestToken.myv & Quest.myv or else it won't work.)

and i'm sure the chest location change after the 1rst down, while the loots' quality inside falls, but its still better than other chests

Maybe this has smth to do with using Hades mod? (its my first post here so i don't know if i'm gonna be flamed as a g-d noob hades user^^ but i just dont get enough time to play normally cuz of studies )

I use no mods other than TQVault for storage of items, but don't have it physically running whilst I'm playing the game. So, I don't think the Hade's mod is responsible

I too missed the old farm spots in certain difficulties and my chests seemingly disappeared after a MP session from recollection.

After removing all the .que files as suggested, this has resolved the problem

I've had chests disappear as soon as I set my next rebirth fountain after defeating that boss.

lol how typical, two hours ago I was reading in this topic, deceided to play some TQ and what happens... my Bandari Terracotta mage chests dissapear

Have had it happen before a few times, most annoying one being the scorpion boss chests. I dont know if it is coincidence but I activated a new rebirth fountain in the game now where the Bandari majestics poofed like Infares said. In same game one of my quests also got bugged so I couldnt complete it. Was "A general in repose". Tried to finish the quest in a new game but it didnt work.

Going to try out the method described above to fix the Bandari chests. Anyone know if the developers are aware of this bug by the way? Perhaps it can be fixed in a future patch.

edit: just thought I would post that I did the que file thingy and it got my dear Bandari chests back :P Time to farm

Same here,
I had reset all my quest files(deleting and restoring the quest and associated files) and was diligently running Scorpion boss, Gorgon queens, and Bandari with no problems. I probablly did around a hundred runs with my rebirth point at Olympus (legendary).

I decided that since I was not running Typhon to use the rebirth fountain closest to the Gorgon Queen cave(ran back after killing the queens). When I did that and started again all five chest were then gone.

So it does look related to activation of some rebirth fountains. Sure hope they fix it in the coming patch.
