Ok Sanchez said that none of his Chest have dissappeared and i know that he mods the crude out of his game so I assumed that he only plays solo... So since all of my quests have been done in multi (with a bunch of toolboxes jumping in my room and completing Mt. Olympus while I am yet to fight the spider queen). I decided to delete all my quest files. But not just there I deleted everything except my map. (I wanted to see where I needed to run to). Then I ran through and methodically repeated every quest.
What I found. I found that I was re-rewarded all quests. (Exp and Skills and Attributes and items) All the magic chests remained! So I think it might have something to do with the order that you complete the quests and triggers throughout the game. Maybe someone else can check this. |

Welcome to the forums!! Its a great source of tons of information. I know much has been posted already so dont hesitate to use the search feature. @Dirty Sanchez I have all my chests back now... I dont really want to test it... . I'll see about it when I have the extra time. I think it has something to do with the triggers and stuff though. I think it is a result of rushing... perhaps and accidental deterant!! Well thats all I got now.

I figured I'd throw this out there:
It appears by removing all que files, regular, backup, and TQVault backup and starting a new game the chests reset. However if you replace the files back AFTER starting a game then exitting the game it resets quest log to be as it was, and the chests are back anyways. This seemed to work for me, so it's possible to reset quests, then restore them, and the chests SHOULD be back. I'm no expert in why this would be the case, but it does provide a "fix" without regaining all the quest rewards and abusing the crap out of it. |

Yep, that's basically what I did, except I didn't remove the map, just the .que files and the token files. I'm not sure why it fixed it, but obviously the chests reset by removing the files. Then replacing all the files put me back to where I had been previously, but the chests were still back where they should be. It also appears that they are the lower quality chests as well, though with my luck with them I couldn't tell if that was an original chest with bad luck or a lower quality one
![]() edit: Since I know for a fact my Scarabeus chest vanished after joining a MP game where the chest had already been looted, it very well could be some sort of goof up in processing the chests in quests in MP and such. I know earlier in the thread someone mentioned it might have something to do with MP games, and I can only assume it's quite possible that might be the case. I know nothing about how the files work, but I am thinking by resetting the quests it takes out the erroneus MP chest vanishing glitch, and when you return the files it loses memory somehow of the MP aspect and keeps the chests there anyways. Again, certainly no expert, I'm just a hardcore gamer, but this is the best theory I could come up with

I know very little of it also... but I dont see how the files can lose anything during their transfer... I could try and test your method, but I do not think I will have the time until the New Year. I am skeptical of it since I dont understand how copy files from one place to another will change anything... we'll see.
