Default PC gamer review - 64%

Really bad review, and I don't refer to the score, I refer to the reviewer.

He came across as a D2 diehard, and from the screenshots only managed to get a bit of the way into Greece.

Points made...
- No randomised levels - whereas a good point he misses that it is a HUGE game and as such when you replay through the areas do seem fresh
- Loot doesn't drop quick enough from the chests. He criticised that it gets shot in the air and you have to wait.
- Boredom, lack of momentum.
- praised the 2 class bit but then said TQ was beaten to it by Guild wars
- Expected more from the makers of Age of Empires.

Not a good review but it seems the guy made hgis mind up before he played.

Flaming Jackass, Doom 3 didnt have randomlized levels and they didnt give that a low score for it. Loot drops too slow?! Wtf!

I'd expect better from PC Gamer ... disappointing.

Everyone should send them e-mails and see if they make it in the next issue, I know I'm going to :P

That's pretty sad. Normally their reviews are much better than that. Shame on them. They'll be getting an EMail from me as well.

Kind of a surprise, as Greg Vederman (don't know if he wrote the review) had been close-to-raving about Titan Quest in previews and first impressions articles.

While I liked D2, I felt like most of the randomly generated stuff had a cookie cutter, "non organic" look. It didn't bother me while I was playing, I just don't understand why people tend to rave about the "randomly generated dungeons" when they're basically just mazes or big open spaces with a few different pathways.

I like that in TQ the outdoor environments don't feel like blocky square environments slapped into the game, they feel like breathing environments I can believe in.

On my 2nd go round with TQ I'm finding side quests I missed, and dungeons I skipped, and it doesn't feel stale to me. I guess I'm a fanboy.

I'd highly doubt that The Vede wrote the article, he's most likely to busy doing all the editor jobs around the office anyways. So help me god if Norman or Whitta got a hold of it... *shakes fist*

That guy who wrote the review crusified the game before he tried it, all critizism is supposed to come from a neutral view point and this guy clearly had to much personal grudge against the game.

Remember this guys: Never every trust any reviews about anything. There, I've said it. Diablo2 was a great game and as I recall at the time it got heavily bashed in the uk magazine reviews I came upon. Of course every now and again you have a nice review (which turns out to be biased in favour of the product), but anyway never decide on anything based on reviews of some stupid individual. Play the demo and decide.
