Default Iron Lore's console project.

This is possibly good for Iron Lore and, if it's TQ, good for our beloved forum, but it's a little sad for the PC platform. More and more studios shift their focus from PCs to consoles, for obvious reasons (piracy, size of market, identical hardware, etc.), but as a computer gamer who has played games on a "real" computer for over twenty years (oh vey), I genuinely like playing on the PC. I usually play in a window so that I can keep an eye on mail, instant messages from my boss, read forums, check usenet newsgroups, and so on. I'm a multitasker at heart. Also, I haven't watched TV in years, so I don't even have a good TV set. I also enjoy the ability to download patches, add-ons, etc., though I realise that this is becoming more common with consoles now also. There's also my preference for keyboards and a slight aversion to game pads.

It's not that I generally dislike consoles ... heck, I had a lot of fun with an Atari 2600 in the 80s, but still, I have outgrown many of the "typical" console genres. I liked Doom when it was fresh, but the 45347th shooter just doesn't interest me. I liked Pitfall, but the 235266th jump and run just doesn't get me excited. I don't know, I just enjoy PC gaming and Iron Lore is one of those new studios that I feel really "get it" (look at how many developers tried to catch the magic of Diablo 2, and all of them except Iron Lore failed). It'd be a shame if the PC gaming community lost a developer of that caliber.

*laughs* Hey, that tea post was in the internal area! My current recommendation is Sumatra Oolong Barisan, which originates from Taiwan. It actually resembles green tea a lot, but tastes like a mild oolong. I discovered it recently when I was "sampling around aimlessly", but it's an awesome tea. I'm normally partial to Chinese teas, but this one is awesome.

Okay, we are off topic again. You're every bit as bad as the rest of us!

Oh I can't wait 'till the annoying little console kiddies come here and start trolling. I'm gonna have to give the banhammer a workout.

if it ends up being a diffrent genre of game just set in the titan quest universe, it may be worth trying. especially if its like god of war or the upcoming conan game. but if its just a port of tq to the 360.....*has diablo for playstation flashback* /shudder

I always read my e-mails, scan the news, read the forums, then play whatever game I'm into. Sometimes I need to write a letter (or update my CV like last week - and update it again this week actually, as I got the job!)

You can't do that with a console.
