Question about saving ..Characters?

Hi!
My comp is pretty laggy and stuff..Yeah I dont really know why, so I thought about doing a system restore thing or whatever you call it when you like delete everything..Ive got the original game TQ and IT.
So if I do that, will my chars be saved on the disk? Or are they saved on the computer? Like, can I take the game and go play it on another computer and still have my chars there?
So if I just do that system restore or whatever its called, will my chars be there?

Well... no.

You're computer can't write savegames to your dvd. Savegame data is probably stored in a similar path like this one:
C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne

You have to save the files in there. More specifically, the SaveData folder.
