The card has Support for DirectX 9.0 Pixel Shader 3.0, that includes older version.
NOt only try to update the drivers from nvidia's website, but also reload directx.

You cant "Reload" direct x. I would suggest checking to make sure you have the latest version of it.

Well if reinstall direct x and graphic drivers don't work try updating your sound drivers. Sound weird but sound drivers being out of date can mess up almost everything.

well I can tell you why you got alot of slowness

1GB of ram on Vista = fail even in the 32bit version Vista tends to recommend 1.5-2GB of ram for "steady" paced performance

XP recommends just 256MB but remember.. 512MB it runs fast.. 1GB it runs smooth

Vista recommends 1GB 1.5 GB = fast 2.0+GB = smooth

also I got a feeling your CPU isn't fast enough the game MINIMUM is 1.8 GHZ processor and your AMD is clocked at 1.6GHz

Well eternalchaos true his CPU is slow but if you read the first post he says it gives this message "can't initialise the graphics engine" I never heard of a CPU causing this type of error. Also he not complaining of slowness.

had the same problem on my laptop when i just installed TQ, uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, installed TQIT, then applied the fan patch and i was able to play (albeit it doenst run great). if you can get it going, turn your settings down to low, and fix the time of day so you dont get all those shadows...
