Default Ati Tray Tools + Vista x64 + TQ/IT

Hi guyz,

I need some help over here.

Two months ago I bought ATI 4870 and yesterday I downloaded ATI Tray Tools 1.5.8.1260 to lower its power consumtion in 2D and to tune some profile settings. For I have Vista x64, there was no way to get ATT to work, it just did not load its Low Level Driver because of the permission of driver subscription (dunno if this is right term, but hopefully you know what I mean) in Vista x64. So I searched all over the internet and after an hour I eventually got to something...

http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo

This little and VERY clever program helped me to get it work!!

Problem is I cannot run Titan Quest nor Titan Quest Immortal Throne, after it switched my system to testing mod, anymore. I can switch it back everytime I want to play it, but man, this is ANNOYING...

Any ideas? TQ/IT is the only game causing the trouble...

Thanks for answers if any..

I'm sorry to rub it in....if you're concern about power consumption, you should have gone with nVidia GTX 260/280. Idle (2D) consumes like 15-35 watts. If you use with one of those built-in graphic motherboard, the card uses 0 watts (hybrid sli).

back to the subject, I think isn't there something in the init file that forces a pre-reqs check? Maybe disable that would help? I don't know...just throwing it out there.

Hi,

15-35W with GTX260/280? Are you sure of that number? Anyway, look at burn then, it is a way higher for these cards...You are right with hybrid option, but I really do not have money to buy a new mobo unfortunatelly. I lowered the consumption about 40W which is good success I think...

Nope, this does not work unfortunatelly.

May I ask you pls what do you have here?

datapath = ""

It is blank in my options.ini, maybe this one is causing the trouble...gotta check further when I get back home from work...

Thanks for answer anyway!

GTX 260/280:
idle (or 2D regular usage) = 25 watts
play blu-ray = 35 watts
hybrid SLI = 0 watts
3D = 236 watts (lesser for GTX 260)

what about the "skipCompatibilityChecks" option?

1. Well, that's what NVidia says. But anyway, I think they are consuming little more.

Do not bother with czech, but check this for instance (at the bottom "Spotřeba" = Consumption):

http://pctuning.tyden.cz/index.php?o...&limitstart=24

And as I said, I lowered the 2D one about 40W...

Lol, hey, stop it man, this is offtopic anyway...I just need to know how to start my TQ, I know I did not make a mistake buying that awesome card!

2. As I said "Nope, this does not work unfortunatelly.".
