All right, the game will start up fine, I'll be in the middle of playing, and all of a sudden it will just go completely ape ****. I took a picture so you guys can see.
My machine's got an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, two gigs of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800, and an eVGA Geforce 8800gts. So... what gives? Oh, I've also tried like, every set of officially released drivers. Last edited by GhostKamikaze : 08-06-2008 at 08:29 PM. |

I've messed around with the stuff in the nVidia control panel, but with no positive results. One guy said he had the same problem and once he turned off AA it was fine, but it didn't work for me. I don't have anything overclocked.

It's not AA. There is one option there that could cause this. The option is somewhere around the AA/FSA settings, point the mouse on each description it will show what it does...

Staples: Easy Button anyone?
Didn't I say point the mouse on each option it will pop up a description showing what it does. I can't remember the option name, but one of the setting description says something along the line "If you check this option and you notice choppy image, turn this off." |

You could just revert to the Default settings. I know the default settings had that option off.
Also, if the video card is overheated you will see choppy artifacts as well. Monitor the temp via nvidia control. If you have any other game, try to see if you see artifacts. If so, either you have a defect card or overheated. |
