Problems with online play (Vista)

Hello there
I was starting playing TQ IT today on my "new" pc with Vista on it.
Not very new but the first time I play TQ on it.
Installation and everthing went well, but when I tried to play online this happens:
I click Join multiplayer and then "refresh".
It doesnt find any server and the green bar doesnt appear.
after 5 minutes without any result I click on ALT+TAB and go to my Desktop.
Then when I click on TQ in my workbar so it pops up again, I get this error:

Any help would be appreciated!

I get the same error message, is there any fix for this? I have the TQ Gold Edition. TQ runs perfect, IT single player runs great, but multi player I get this same error.
My computer is only a month old, HP Pavilion DV9700 Notebook. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00 GHz, 3.00 GB RAM, GeForce 8400 GS video card. It is running vista.

Any help out there.

Your video Card isn't very good, but that's not the problem.
I have tried this every time I want online with TQ IT:
Go to your TQ IT map, go to the "Patch" Directory and update TQ IT there. Try after the update to play online.
It Works for me but I have to do that every time :S

Then why point that out?I'm using 6600gt to play this game and it runs fine.
