Titan Quest Gold bug - Invalid CD Keys for multiplayer -FIXED

I received my response from my support inquiry, basically a carbon copy of what other people received, telling me to exchange it (already did) or send it to THQ for a replacement (Yeah right shipping $ + 4-8 weeks to get it back). Sent a response asking for a new key but it took 3 days to get this response so I dont expect a reply till later this week.

ugh, I just tried online and I've been rejected with Invalid cd key.

I think its bad keys on the fault of the publisher, not computer issues. Someone on the vault forums said they got an official response that acknowledged they sent out bad keys.

Do you have a link, by any chance? I saw a lot of threads on vnboards.ign.com (vault), and I even tried posting there myself, but apparently I missed that thread.

As an update, my brother tried installing his copy of gold on his roommate's computer, and had the same issue.

Finally, my brother went and bought the expansion separately, and installed it on top of the original game from the gold package. He's now able to create an IT multiplayer game, however trying to join someone else's multiplayer internet game will cause a crash to the desktop. He may end up buying the full original game again too, just so that he finally has everything working. blech.

I got the same "carbon copy" of support email from support... I'm fairly disgusted. I clearly should have saved my money.

Was thinking of getting the Gold Edition as a gift for a family mbr and now I'm not so sure...

I was excited to see the Gold version on the shelf at Walmart, this would of been a great way (and season) to introduce the game to New Players.

This problem should now be fixed on the backend and your keys should work. For those of you in the US, Immortal Throne should now work for you online without any further changes.

For those of you who purchased the Gold Edition in Canada, there may be an additional issue. On some of the copies, the key printed on the Immortal Throne manual and the key printed on the French Titan Quest manual were swapped. So if you can't install TQIT with the key supplied, try the TQ key from the French TQ manual and you should be all set.

Hello C. It's good to hear that u guys are doing whatever u can to resolve this widespread issue. At this time, i am still getting "Invalid CD Key" errors whenever i attempt to join a game or host a game in TQIT Multiplayer online.


Additional info: I bought my copy of TQ Gold from Gamestop in Houston, TX.

I just installed tonight and I'm still getting the invalid cd key error when trying to host/play internet multiplayer game.
