Working fix for a Stygian Lurker quest rewards
It's that thing in Stygian Marsh that own you +18 STR/INT/DEX.
Patch is basically database.arz replacement. The only thing changed in original database is this quest. And yes, you can get rewards for chars who already completed quest. See readme in archive. Are you sure you have to replace the whole database? It's usually enough to just put the updated files into the correct place in the db folder. Look at how the toj and crystal room fixes are done. I will have to try this fix soon I guess.

Okay, I thought they modified the db because I had to put the files into the db folder. If it doesn't work that way when editing the db, too bad.

I followed the instructions in the readme and am not sure it worked. I went back to Styx on my Conquerer on Normal and talked to the NPC again and didn't get a message about the reward. Is there a message or is the reward automatically given for those who have beaten it?

I had previously completed the quest. I followed the instructions, and launched the game. The quest was removed from my quest list. When I talked to the quest giver, he rewarded me with the skill points.
