So I need to take the xpack folder and place that here so the address looks like this C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\xpack\quests\scripted scene_hadespalace.qst
??? Am I doing this correct?

Yep, that's it. Just extract the contents into Database and it'll make the folders for you. Makes a huge difference here.

You can check it this way:
If you still have the lightnings in the crystal room after you extracted the file, you did something wrong.
If you can't see the lightnings, the files are in the correct directory and the stuttering should be gone.

let me clarify my terminology... I need to make sure what I did, becuase I know the results that I should achieve.

I got it working. I didn't have a bunch of time to test it yesternight. Thanks a bunch for this patch becuase now I actually have to think even if slightly against hades. It was just stupid before.

So what exactly causes the crystal slowdown? The OP mentioned "quest tokens", but I see nothing in the game that even mentions those lightning crystals at all. The electrical blasts from them don't even seem to do anything, either, so I'm completely baffled as to why the developers would include something like this that slows down everyone's game. For the most part, the game runs fantastic for me, but that room is just odd.

I'd honestly find it hard to believe that it doesn't affect everyone. Whether they notice it or not is another issue, but the fact that it happens on even high-end systems indicates that it's not a performance-related problem. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the graphics, but rather just how it's accessing the hard drive. I've turned all the details to low in that room and there's pretty much no improvement at all. I run the rest of the game with everything at max.

I had this same argument with everyone before about the tower of judgment. I ended up having to post a short vid of a run through it to prove my point. Trust me there are 0 slow down issues for me. I find it weird also but we've been through all this before.
