Default Is there an emulator that works with TQIT?

Ok, let me explain. I have a laptop with a smartbay that I have to swap out my DVD drive with a removeable drive that I use for backups.

I was wondering if there is a disc emulation program that works with the game so I can put the image on my removeable drive and not have to worry about swapping the drives, re-activating the portable, copying and pasting save files, stopping the portable, reinserting the DVD drive, FINALLY starting the game.

What I want to do is make a small batch file to copy over the contents of the save folder in my documents over to the portable so I can make a backup in one double click then jump straight into the game. I've had some file corruption problems so I am a compulsive backup guy (It's a sickness) and I make a backup every time before I start the game.

I'm running the DVD Gold Edition with the Fan patch and no mods if that makes any difference.

Anyone got any ideas?

Regards,

bginer

You might find some help from gamecopyworld.com, as they specialize in exactly what you're looking for.

Alternately, you could just make an iso out of your disk and then load it with daemontools.

@MunderBunny:

I didn't even realize that you could do that with an ISO image! Never heard of Daemontools either.

Took your advice and it works like a charm. Thanks very much.

I am a superhero. I know for a fact because my mom told me.

Then it must be true. Mom's never lie.

I'd love to see a pic of you in costume.

Thanks again for the help.

Sorry, that was my way of saying "you're welcome." You'll learn. It's just something I do that makes more sense. Like, when someone sneezes, I say, "I'm amazing." When someone is about to hit their head gainst something, I say, "I can bench 220." It's all to tell people about what's really important: me.

She tells me I'm amazing all the time, though her voice is dripping with sarcasm when she says it. My ego-mania is the most-common subject of her ridicule. :/
