Steam and fanpatch

I don't know where to extract the files, or at least I wasn't sure if that was the correct directory.

Can someone link me to steam fanpatch guidelines? Also, I need to know which files/folders I need to backup first.

dont worry about it.if anything goes wrong or you need to just verify the game files thru steam and it will redownload and restore anything thats been modified.much better than reinstalling.

Well, that sounds right since steam will revert back the latest updated files.

Btw, there are no files in that folder to hold any character information, correct?

Characters are stored in your documents...eg C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\Main

Im not sure if you figured it out or not but the default path is:

For 32bit os:
Your Drive:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\titan quest immortal throne

64 bit os:
Your Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\titan quest immortal throne
