loading old characters
Was able to finish the game a year ago and then stopped playing it. Decided to install the game again yesterday. Was able to backup the savedata dfiles but when I tried to paste it on the new folder, my charcters is not on the list. It wont show up my characters anymore. I was able to backup the whole savedate folder, but its still not working. How can I use my old characters again. Help please!

I'm assuming you are using winxp. Is this where you are puting the character files?
My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest/SaveData/Main/name of character.

yup, thats correct. I tried using the TQDefiler and was able to see my old and new characters there. But its still not showing it on the character selection screen.

I've saved the same files, reinstalled winxp, reinstalled TQ/IT and put the saved files inside the Main folder and everything worked fine. Maybe you can post the question on the Defiler Thread and maybe SoulSeekor or someone there can help you. The thread is here.

Copied and pasted from my thread for others to reference here if needed:
=========================================== 1)Run TQ, stop when you get to the main screen, do NOT click any of the menus!! 2)Press alt+tab, then run the Defiler (v3.4.2 preferably). 3)Press 'Patch Game'. Then close the Defiler and go back into the game and load each character into the game to resave them with the game's key so they'll show up next time.
