Another crashes/freeze thread

So I picked up the demo and I'm experiencing random crashes with it. I know there's a lot of threads about this nonsense but i figured i'd make one more. There's no real constant for it, seems to happen without any rhyme of reason, regardless where I'm at or what I'm doing.

The game will either just crash entirely, and Alt/Tab Altf4 does nothing, and I am forced to reboot the computer manually (left it 'stuck') for over an hour once with no change - Or the game will freeze for 5 minutes before going up again.

Anyways, here's my specs:

Intel Pentium 3.20 GHZ D CPU
2046 Ram
NVidia Geforce 7600 GT


I'd like to buy the full game with the xpac to play with a friend, but neither of us are really psyched to buy it if I'm having so many problems with the demo. Any ideas at all? I already tried running "Drive Cleaner Pro" and updating my Nvidia version.
