So, I've seen a few people whose PC's have restarted when they turn on TQIT, however, my brother has had the game for a few months now, and very little trouble with it. We started playing again recently, and his pc started lagging during the Minos Labyrinth(I think that's the name) while we were in a fight, and then his computer shuts off and restarts...
Anyone know why? I tried getting him to turn his settings as low as possible, but still, no luck. His specs are : AMD Sempron 3200+ ~1 gig RAM Nvidia GeForce 7600GT Also, I've noticed his main menu lags a bit, it seems to freeze for a few moments, but then it'll be fine for a minute. This problem seems to repeat. It's the same issue in game, if it doesn't restart the pc, it'll work fine again for a minute. Last edited by ASYLUM101 : 06-16-2008 at 05:36 PM. I have actually tried doing that already. Sadly it didn't help. I used driver cleaner to wipe the old Nvidia driver and install the new one, but to no avail.
However, it seems that if he keeps the character completely still, no errors arise! No reboots! Heh, it's not much fun playing that way though. Also, it's not just one character that locks up the game. I thought it might have been just the labyrinth, but a new character shows that the game locks up in Helos as well. I have noticed one difference now that I cleaned the drivers; the computer doesn't restart. The game lags insanely when you move the character a few steps, and then stops as you stop. If other characters are moving, that creates lag as well. I'm really at a loss here, it worked fine a few weeks ago with no issues, now this. Computers... |
