Whats wrong?

Hey guys, I baught this game, after installing and restarting my comp, I cant play this game. I open it, and play single player for the first time, and after I choose a name, and my gender, nothing comes up. In the manual, it says that I choose what my character looks like after I name him. Whats the problem? I tried changing the resolution and everything to "low".... I have two gigs of ram and an intel duo processor. Its a gaming computer. What can I do? Might I also add that I hae vista...Please help. I've tried re-installing it too.
