Character back up problem, HELP!!

Hi i'm a newbie, as in i just started playing TQ around a week or so. But i just so love the game and i played it for like a week straight with pauses only during sleep.

now heres the problem, something went wrong and i have to uninstall and re install the game but i was able to back up my characters, now the thing is.....

i dont know where to paste those back ups so i dont have to start all over again. please help me. iam panicking now!!!

The saved games data is in "My documents" under My Games. If you have just installed TQ/IT it's probably not there but if you make a new character and just start the first quest or drop your knife and quit Titan Quest or Immortal Throne will make the directory so you can see where to put your backups.

yeah sir, i know where to find it. i even have a back up of my charactr, but my problem is, i just re installed the game and can i paste those back ups so i can can play starting with my back up character and its items? because i paste the "_char" file in the my documents>my games>thq>titan quest folder but when i start the game i dont see it?

oh.. you already copied it, I did not know that. I did not have that problem. ehm Defiler might be able to help but I am not too sure about that. Oh I did lose all caravans (Immortal throne) though.
