Me and a friend decided to get TQ Gold. Now we got it over STEAM, etc etc all went fine, mine runs no problems, His however caused him to restart. So we disabled auto reboot and viola, it was a BSOD. so I looked into it, as per other ppl having issues with the game blue screening we did what they did, updated video and audio drivers. No luck, then I started venturing into his windows minidumps. Thats when the fun started, it says
"Probably caused by : ati3duag.dll ( ati3duag+116508 )" So after looking into this error, which apparently a lot of other ppl are having with lots of games. Did what they said, uninstalled the video card drivers, restarted in safemode, ran a driver cleaner to remove all traces of his ATI drivers, then reinstalled with a fresh new download. Low and behold, it still happens. Had him redownload the game from steam, verify the game itself (steam has a game validation system you can use). Any other ideas that may help him in his cause? It does appear that a lot of ppl have the same issue with most newer AGP graphics cards which he does have, an ATI X1600pro. |

If you are trying to use an HD 2*** AGP card I wish you luck. I couldn't get it to work when my old card went blah, so I ended up buying a whole new computer.

Oh yea, forgot the standard stuff:
Update your motherboard, soundcard, and NIC drivers and bios (NIC interfering with the videocard is rare, but has happened). Also the most common failure point for computers is the PSU. Try swapping with a different one/upgrading to a higher wattage (420w minimum for a gaming pc, 320w is too low). If your PSU is dying (and cheap ones do this often) it could cause any number of random problems throughout your system. I suggest testing everything else first though, as replacing hardware is more costly than software. Try the omega drivers? If you are wiping the drivers, first uninstall ALL videocard drivers, then use a driver cleaner. Run a virus check, ccleaner, defrag etc....
