Well here is something of intrest as i debate this the wasd key movements over on lineageII forums for a few years and finally it gets implemented into the game. But because of game restraints its major buggy and your toon does not always respond to the key movements it sometimes just keeps going straight when you need it to move sideways so it was unplayable that way unless you was doing long tips just by road (traveling from town to town) but then you had to go and reconfig the game settings when you needed more accurate control for dealing with mobs.
Anyways im all for camera unlock options and hope if they can do it that its not buggy and think thats probably why its not in the game already as there just might not be a good way to do it. *Big Hugs* |

I'm having the same issue, and it looks like the developers decided to take both ideas and ditch them.
WASD movement is a simple process to implement by any competent programmer. It really shouldn't be an issue. As it is, if you're trying to aim at someone and you happen to miss your click, you start running towards them. Duh, how stupid. It's also practically impossible to shoot at things on the right side of the screen, while moving to the left. Even if you cannot move and shoot at the same time. It requires way too much mouse movement, and the cursor ends up starring in an onscreen tennis match - being constantly flung from one side to the other. It's such a great game otherwise, as I play it strikes me with wonder why they would so efficiently handicap it. Oh well, D3 will probably have it. |
