Default Mmorpg??

Hi,

I know that there isn't any development on TQ any more (at least not from THQ or IronLore) but still I got a suggestion.
It can be summerized as this:
Why not creating an MMORPG from TQ.
It doesn't need very much work, at least not that much as creating a game from scratch.
Things that are needed at least are:
-New story (Based on the original game)
-New maps
-New quests

I think it would be not too difficult.

What do you TQ players think?

I think it'd be a great idea. It could be called World of Titan Quest () and the storyline could be a bit different. But we'd had to make new beasts and new territories (that's what I don't like about WoW, they won't make new territories).

WTF why do these geeks bother even signing in if they're going to spam everything?

I hope this thread isn't necromanced.

Maintaining a persistent world doesn't take much work? Handling the bandwidth needed to accommodate countless player doesn't take much work?

Not to mention the millions of lines of code needed to convert TQ's networking.

But making Tq a mmorpg may ruin the game, because of the nature of the game, it wasn`t developed to be a mmorpg.

I have to agree, you're right. TQ is all about ONE hero, not thousands of them. For that, you need to pray for an MMORPG based on Heroes.

playing devil's advocate for a moment here: City of Heroes did that

personally though, i feel a TQ MMO wouldn't really add much and it'd change the game for the worse...i like it as it is.

Making an MMO out of TQ could have some serious potential, but yo would also have to be seriously comitted to making it work. Things like this don't happen overnight :P
