Default Persistent World

Hi,

"Once upon a time...

There was a game called Neverwinter Nights.
It all started as a single player game with strong multiplayer capabilities.

Then... someone made a persistent world, and many followed him/her."

And that was the kind of game i was used to, i used to meet friends there, had a lot of roleplay, there were player run guilds, dungeon masters to bombard us with creatures, etc etc. Well, much of what's seen nowadays in MMORPGs.

Is it possible to think of such an environment for TQ? Even if it's build around the existent campaign map.
A world build for the community that's always there, where your characters grow as a part of the world instead of running single player or cooperative campaigns.

Yes,

World of Warcraft is a good example of a persistent world. Unfortunately not a very good game (IMHO) and populated by very immature people.

I have not played it. So couldn't tell you much about it. But to each his own. People who like WOW like it. And we like TQ so no matter what we like TQ. Simple. Oh by the way this is my opinion no offence intended mate. Cheers.

No offence taken at all.

I just wanted to know about this persistent world topic because i still havent' found the perfect game
You can always make a big imaginary construction mind game with several games, pointing out that "this from game X, that from game Y adding that from game Z" would build the perfect game.
I bet developers would do it if they didn't have to make a living on tight schedules and rigid contracts

As far as my opinion goes, TQ has one of the best game mechanics around, awsome looks to go with it and overwhelming item content. Unfortunately it lacks a bit in other aspects that would make it a perfect game.

TQ is one of the greatest games that i ever player. Got addicted to it's demo. Bought the Vanilla TQ and The Gold version which had TQ 1.30 & IT. And yeah did i mention i am still addicted. 1 hour before i leave for work and 1 hour after i get back from work. Weekends entire day. I don't think it shall ever be uninstalled from my system. Well if the game goes corrupt i will reinstall it.
