Default Randomised Legendary Items

Hey, I was thinking about having more random legendary items instead of having the same old ones all the time.

So for example if a Legendary axe is about to come out of a chest, this is what would happen:

1. Item Type Select:
- Weapon
- Artifact
- Armour
- Jewelry
- Relic

2. Randomise Selects
- Weapon


3. Weapon Type
- Axe
- Sword
- Bow
- Spear
- Mace

4. Randomise Selects
- Axe


Now this is where things get different:

1. Axe Title Part 1
- Achilles'
- Ajax's
- Zeus'
- Hermes'
- Apollo's
- Etc....

2. Randomise Selects
- Achilles'


3. Title Part 2
- Axe
- Cresent
- Decapitator

4. Randomise Selects
- Decapitator


5. Title Part 3
- Of Pain
- Of Fire
- Of Ice
- Of Reckless Power
- Etc....

6. Randomise Selects
- Of Fire


7. Select Granted Skill For [Item Type>Weapon>Axe]
- None
- Frenzy
- Etc.....

8. Randomise Selects
- Frenzy


So now when the item drops it has been through this process and is therefore determined:

Achilles' Decapitator Of Fire

This will then give an almost unlimited amount of possible Legendary items.

In my example "Achilles'" was chosen- this would add a bonus to increase attack speed or a warfare skill etc.

Whereas if it had been "Zeus"- this would increase a storm skill or deal lightning damage.

In my example "Decapitator" was chosen- this could increase bleeding damage or stun enemies.

Whereas if it had been "Cresent"- this would deal bonus damage or deal fear damage.

In my example "Of Fire" was chosen- this would deal fire/ burn damage or increase fire/ burn damge.

Whereas if it had been "Of Ice"- this would deal frost/ freeze or increase frost/ freeze damge.

In my example "Frenzy" was chosen- this would grant a skill to increase attack speed upon attack.

Whereas if it had been "None"- then no skill would be granted by this item. So you could end up with 2 of the same item (very unlikely) but one without the granted skill.

So my example weapon's stats would be something like this:

Achilles' Decapitator Of Fire
174-182 Damage [This would be determined by the weapon type]
Speed: Average [This would be determined by the weapon type]

+25% Attack Speed
140- 178 Bleeding Damage over 3.0 Seconds
+28% Bleeding damage
90-110 Burn Damage over 3.0 Seconds
10% Chance of
+170% Burn damage
+1 to Lacerate
+2 to Tumult

Grants Skill:
Frenzy [Ativated upon attack]

+15% Attack Speed for 12.0 seconds
-6% Elemental Restistance for 12.0 seconds

Required Level: 38 [Determined by Bonuses]
Required Dexterity: 180 [Determined by Bonuses]
Required Strength: 450 [Determined by Bonuses]


Of course this is only an example but I hope you can see the infinite possibilities this would bring. The list for each "Randomise" would be much longer than the ones I used.

You could then end up with items like:

Hector's Shroud Of Blinding Light
Zeus' Plate Of Ressurection
Chiron's Binding Of Power


Etc....

I think this would be a more exciting and far more iteresting way of getting legendary items than the typical legendary items already in the game.

As you may know people are now trading and duping items which is greatly increasing the number of legendary items flying about and somewhat taking away their rarity.

Whereas if a future Titan Quest had this Randomised Legendary Items idea there would be almost unlimited possibilities for any legendary drops.

I would appreciate it if people could give me feed back on this matter and any suggestions. I will update with any suggestions or if you are unsure of something please let me know and I will explain.

Sounds like a cool idea, although they would then be much like any yellow out there, just better stats. We'll be lucky to get any kind of balance changes to go with the bug fixes in a patch, let alone that kind of loot change.

Still, they would be better legendary items and far rarer than yellow items.

I love this Idea. I might find a staff thats half decent! All other staves suck (Purple included)!

I love the idea, but it would have to introduce an entire new item "type". Items like Legendary, epic, unique and so on (depending on game) normally has its name because it is truly "unique" or "one of a kind". Lets get orange items, call them something else and use this idea for the creation of.

This is pretty much the same way yellow and green items are being created, go for green items then instead of legendary

I like the unique items the way they are, I wouldn't mind having a new item type (orange, as was suggested) with more bonuses per pre- / suffix in legendary (but not normal or epic) as the bonuses of unique items are in general superior to the green items, so a new set of items might alleviate this somewhat.

Of course as with unique items this means they could not be relic'd (otherwise they would have the best of both worlds) - alternatively, allow to add relics to uniques as well.
