Yeah, underwater can definitely open some possibilities to phenomenal boss monsters.

In legend, the half-snake Echidna mated with Typhon to produce such monsters as Cerberus, Orthos, the Chimera, the dragons of Colchis and Lagon, the Harpies, the Hydra, Scylla, Nemean Lion, and the Sphinx. So I thinks that the chance to use her and stay true to legend has passed, really.
Also, the Stymphalian birds were winged maidens with bird feet, according to the earliest form of the myth, and were so numerous that in flight they blotted out the sun. Their feathers were sharp, and some forms of the myth say they could fire them from their wings like darts. They were also under the protection of Ares, who originally reared them. Also, the Sires too were woman/bird hybrids, but flightless. They are first cousins to harpies, according to myth, and were changed to their hybrid form bu either Demeter or Aphrodite, depending on which version of the story you are hearing. There were, according to the tales, several Sirens with names such as Parthenope, Leucosia, Ligeia, Aglaope, Raidne and Thelxepeia. It was only in European legend that the Sirens began to be portrayed as mermaids. Oh, and Ladon wasn't a two-headed dragon. He was a MANY-headed dragonish serpent that guarded the golden apples of the Hesperides. Ladon's eyes never closed in sleep - he was brother to Echidna as well. |

Hey youre talking about Heracle? in one of the series i saw something like hydra, something like dragon and when heracles cut it's head off i had splited to two! and then another head went off - again splited! And from one-headed hydradragonsomething turned to three-headed hydradragonsomething... But she was burned anyway...
That could be nice boss - kill, it splits and returns with more power... Until you kill it with fire dmg.. xDD or at least some monsters could do that let's say five times of spliting? wadaya think, huh?

T'would be the Hydra you're talking of, and there be an Hydra in the game already. But they didn't bother to let yer cut its heads off and growing new ones again an' again !
That'd be a great idea, my friend, a great idea !

Actually, they are mentioned by NPCs but I think it would be pretty impossible to add these as, well, how do you suppose they would work? They could hardly lure you into the sea to drown, could they?

If not Posidon, then in the next game/expansion, I'm definately expecting Keuthonymus to either be the main boss or a very-important-to-the-story minor boss. (you know, this guy: )Quote:
If you could meet Pegasus it would be even more confusing.. Also, we are missing Gryphons and Hippogryphs. Last edited by Ivaron : 02-16-2008 at 01:31 AM. |
