Default Health bar above the Hero's head

I find myself constantly staring the upper left part of my screen to observe how fast my health decreases during fights, and I miss all the action. This especially happens with melee characters.

Now, if there was an option to show the health bar above the head of your character, I could follow my HP and see the fight at the same time.

As long as there is an option to turn it off I would be ok with this feature. Basically like a hot key to switch on or off.

good idea ! maybe 2 thin bars on the bottom of the char , one for hp (red) and the other for mana (blue).

I disagree.........it will look too much like a RTS (but I admit I'm no fan of those type of games)

I think a warning when your hp gets too low is a much better and less intrusive idea.

Just like Sacred handles low hp's. When your toon reaches a set number, for example 30% of your total hp the character icon sends out a red pulse from your characters icon.

I know that whenever I play Sacred Hardcore and I get that red pulse, my fingers jump to the space bar to fill up

I'm not really sure how you can disagree about having one more option in the menu

There is the loud thumping heart sound....that you hear just as you're practically dead! A visual cue would be nice. It's hard to differentiate the heartbeat from the rest of the melee most of the time.

Health bars would look out of place IMHO. But that's okay....if you could switch them off.

Yes I agree health bars are ugly, and I have no trouble hearing the heart pounding, might check your volume settings like affects and such.

But if you need an example -- take Dungeon Siege, if you need to see your character's health right on on your char just tap the "X" button and you'll get those health bars, tap it again and it disappears. Probably the most logical solution.
