Default A TQ audio CD: I'd buy it.

Since this really isn't a suggestion for the Devs per se as much as a request to (probably) Iron Lore, this seems to be the best existing forum to start the topic. Feel free to move it otherwise.

When I bought the D2 Collector's Edition years ago, one of the goodies was an audio CD with the BGM tracks on it.

TQ's depth and richness of incidental music blows D2's away, and I'd readily shell out a Jackson or so for a disk I could put in the car CD player, or simply be able to hear a track in it's entirety without having to traipse a character to that locale, clear it out, and just leave it there for the duration.

seconded, thirded, and fourthed.

Halved, quartered, pie-charted, graphed, parabolically and parametrically and round-aboutly and whole-heartedly AGREED!!!

I would lay down 15 or 20 quid for Scott Morton's incredible soundtrack for TQ without a second thought!

I'd buy it as well. The musical score in TQ is quite awesome and among the best stuff I've heard in a game in recent years. Probably too late now since the original game has been out for a year, but perhaps a great idea for Iron Lore's next game! (Whatever that may be!) It's likely to be the publisher's calls, though.

(I moved the thread to the Suggestion forum; in the news section the topic title only gets everyone's hopes up! )

Have Trent Reznor do some remixes too.

What, kinda like Notion_of_Ignorance's D2 Remix using only sound effects from the game? That track's still made of win and slathered with quirky creativity for me.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a CD- I'd settle for mp3 downloads as well, since TQ isn't like the games that have their audio files separate in wav or another format.

Another supporter here!

And if you won't sell the CD in Asia, please at least allow a downloadable version - i am happy to pay for the TQ soundtrack. It'll certainly make my attempts to discern the variations on the original theme in each area's music easier!

I wasn't paying attention in Egypt, but I'm pretty sure the track that starts when you hit The Silk Road is one of China's analogs.

I'd also gladly buy an audio CD -- the music is truly gorgeous and really makes the game come alive. I was sad to read Scott Morton's blog today that he's leaving Iron Lore, but I wish him the very best in his future music endeavors.

While not the same as a well-produced CD, you can extract the individual MP3s from the game's "Music.arc" files with the "ArchiveTool.exe" program that comes with TQ & IT. It helps to be comfortable using a DOS command prompt to use the tool, though. Plus, TQ has nearly 400 MP3s (lots of drones and ~18-second melodies)... still, they're fun to play around with.

Wow, I'm also sad to see Scott go. The TQ & IT soundtrack is awesome.. one of the few games I actually turned up the background music and enjoyed the entire atmosphere that it created!
