Artifact Recipes

After installing IT, I continued with my high level char (lvl59). I found alot of recipes but the only problem is most of them are either greater or devine recipes which require lesser artifacts.

I read through the forum that one must start normal again to find the lesser artifact recipes and then continue to eipc then lastly legendary.

NOT AGAIN ......... just to find the damn lesser artifact recipes.

Not sure how much it will spoil the game if at all but will it be possible with future patches to have merchants sell recipes. (Even if it costs extreme amount of gold).

Also say in normal they don't sell recipes, then in epic you can buy lesser recipes and in legendary you can buy greater recipes.

This way at least it will be possible to complete a Devine artifact.

I think the reason IL made it that way becuas you would start all over again just to gain those lesser artifacts, and to gain all the artifacts you need you would have to play A LOT of IT, hence increasing life time of the expansion, which again is good for IL.

I did what Shadow suggested.

I started a brand new harbringer so that I can get the recipe parts for my main Conqueror.

I actually like the current system since it gives me something to do in the game and to work towards to. It's certainly a time-sink, but since this isn't a MMORPG with a monthly subscription, I think features like these increase the value of the game. The artifacts are just an additional way to customise and fine-tune your character, one that may require some work and determination, but that is part of the game's magic, to me.

You can farm Typhoon and the Telkines for the lesser recipes in normal. They seem to drop them fairly well. Harder, almost, is getting the low level materials that you need to make them.

I understand the frustration, though, if you know you're looking at hours of doing something that may not be fun to you. Perhaps a solution might be to start a new character and take him or her through normal? I did find a lot of formulas with my characters in normal. So many, in fact, that I just created a new mule just for formulas!

My advice, keep all those extra recipes you find, because you may need them to replace artifacts that you use to create a more powerful artifact. I'm trying to replace a lot of greater artifact recipes right now since I used most of them to create my Divine artifacts. Then I'll get to replace my lessers after I finish with my greaters.

I wish I had kept that second Lionheart I found while trying to get the reagents for my first Lionheart.

It's funny, but I'd swear that I would find formulae that I had in my inventory more often than one's I didn't have. It took me forever to find a Blood of Ares, but once i did, I found four more. But when I created it and gave it to another character, I haven't found another one.

Will do. Actually I did.

I created a dream mastery toon and maxed ToW. That way I just run around and all the monster just die. Think I did act one in like 30~45 minutes or so. Found 3-4 recipes already.

Once I have enough I will continue my high level toon and run epic again.
