Dark Covenant Sucking?

I've heard that I should max out Dark Covenant and its synergy, but right now it just eats through my health and doesn't replenish that much energy. Should I keep investing points in it or just visit a mystic and spread those points elsewhere?

I didn't start using dark covenant until epic. By the time I got to legendary, it was badass. But, unearthly power is where it's at. Once you get about 40-50% recharge, you can pretty much keep them both going all the time, and just be uber-badass. With my diviner, even the DC recharge is sweet for spamming distortion waves and ternion attack.

I'm an Oracle just starting Act III, and my health is pretty low, so I think I'll just focus on other skills for now and then max it out.

DC isn't that good with low mana regeneration modifiers (int and +%mana regen from items), since it gives flat mana regen bonus. So in normal it's not that efficient. Try it again in late epic/early legendary.

I have found that I use DC mostly to replenish my Liche's energy supply so he can keep using all his skills. Obviously, UP is awesome as well, as it increases his attack (and yours as well if you are melee)

Anyone else notice the pet's mana regen rate seems to be tied to yours, instead of an fixed rate?

Don't worry about it for now, just look at the date of the last post to get an idea. Everybody does it at first, but you'll get used to it eventually.

I stopped playing the Oracle anyway.

EDIT: Your post was also off-topic. I was asking about it's sucky power in normal. It was solved, so my next spirit char (Hades the Spellbinder) will use it later on.

For me it is Ok what sucks is Death Ward,sometime before it activates you are already Dead,the name speaks for itself it puts you in the Death Ward.Not very reliable skill.
