Ok so my first character is a Soothsayer. I first started out as a theurgist. It took me 39 levels to choose a second mastery, I figured if I kept pumping spirit then I could get more powerful quicker instead of using points in a second mastery.
Well turns out I was wrong, I had 192 deaths on my stat page before I beat Hades and unlocked Epic. Once I picked a second mastery (I chose nature), it started to help out a lot. Mainly I wasn't sure what to pick so I kept procrastinating, finally I chose nature because I wanted something that would help me not die every 10 minutes. Now, my questions. Since I went with Spirit only for so long, my Lich King and Ousider are pretty beefy. I don't need to pump them up right now, my Ternion and the synergy skill is also maxed (after I found these forums I found out how that was a wise decision .So mainly I'm focusing on Nature right now. My questions are; 1) should I max the wolves or the forest nymph first? So far I've been putting points into wolves mainly. I only have 1 point in the nymph and her two synergies... she doesn't die too much except on bosses. But does putting points into her make her better? It doesn't seem like she has many abilities. 2) I keep seeing use Ternion on LMB. The problem I see with this is that when your target dies, Ternion stops. If I keep it on RMB, it continues to fire even when my targets die. I find this to be far far superior than putting it on LMB because those valuable seconds where Ternion isn't firing means life or death. (The question here is two parts.) 2a) Is there a way to keep Ternion on LMB but not make it cease firing? 2b) If not, is there a way to assign more skills other than Ternion and the Nymph to LMB? I would be fine with having Ternion on RMB if I could put something else on the LMB. That's all I can think of for now. I'm really glad I found these forums, this game is awesome and I feel like I'm just getting started with it. ![]() |

1) Wolves definetely. They do a lot more damage. Leave at least 1 point in Nymph though, it's always nice to have one.
2a) I think it's possible by pressing shift. Not sure if it works though, and not sure if that's what you really want. 2b) Perhaps with mods - I don't know And welcome ofcourse! Have fun!

Yeah the shift does help putting Ternion on LMB and having continuous fire, thanks for the advice. I might have to experiment with that some more. Not exactly what I would prefer but I'll at least give it a good try.
Good to know I have been spending points wisely about the wolves. Another question. I recently made an artifact called Eye of the Heaven, and it has pretty powerful proc that does a ton of cold damage. It pretty much just instantly kills things when it goes off. Now I know asking that to go off very frequently is unreasonable, but is there a stat that effects proc rate? It seems like when I first got it I was level 41, and now that I'm 51 it seems to proc a little more often than when I first got it. This could just be because I've gotten used to it, and know when it procs now. (When I first got it, I couldn't tell if it was doing anything at all for an entire level.) |

I don't think proccing is influenced by char level. Most (if not all) proccing artifacts have a cooldown timer (which cannot be influenced in-game) with varying times. The list should be somewhere on the board, perhaps one of the stickies in the "Immortal Throne Gameplay section"?

All classes are playable in TQ. However melee Soothsayer can prove to be a bit tricky in legendary, mainly due to low offensive- and defensive ability. But you can always farm for items.
Liche is a nice pet, get it. Wolves (you get 3 at skill lvl 18) can boost your damage with Strength of the Pack, so I'd take them too.

A close combat Soothsayer isn't actually that hard.. it gets some rather decent synergies.
