Question from a noob (me)

Hi all,

I have been lurking for a whlie reading the posts about the game and the spellbreaker class. I am level 35 currently, and

is what I have for now, I think my dps is about 330 ish....hp is around 2600

but I am having trouble fighting the caster type of monsters.

They simply do too much dmg to me. When I was fighting Typhon, I died 10 times before I learned how to kill it.

I keep seeing people say Spellbreakers "leech" life back from the monsters. How'd I do that? via a lifeleeching weapon(s)?

People use weapons that convert dmg to hp which is useful because with deathchill you can even get hp back from undead.

I see, thanks, any advice on what %leech I should be looking for?

I currently DW sabertooth and folg, and that helps my dps alot...

I do have a blue weapon called adaris or something that leeches life back but it brings down my dps by quite a bit when i use it

should i get lifedrain and cascade?

No. This spell is too weak to be effective further than egypt.
( I mean: you are lv 35 and sholdn't be happy with a spell that causes 100-200 intelligence-dependent dmg)

Try to get some nice green weapon and socket it with a relic of anubis !

Big Ham 10 deaths on Typhon first time is not bad at all! I am sure some of the vets here have horror stories of how meny deaths they had on Typhon. I think mine was something like 15 or 20.

Heh.. 2 deaths. First death I figured out about his one-hit-kill, 2nd death was due to thorns. After that, I knew how to kill him
Barmanu gave me more problems, with his stun+one-hit-kill combination.

(though I'm not a veteran of this forum or this game )

Boss monster I found hardest so far: Manticore. Died 4 times before I killed him, and the walk was just horrible. Also the first and only boss so far where I had to actively search for strategies against him on the forum.

When I started playing did not even know there was a forum. Yes Barmanu was really tough and the Manticor killed me so fast the first time I did not even know what he hit me with. Talos was pritty tough, and Cerberus was really tough. Oddly I was just enough of a Tank and went strait into meele that when I fought the Hydra I beat her with out finding out how tough the breath weapons were. Great game I want to be forced to rethink my stratigies.
