Oracle item / tactics problems

I have alot of fun on my oracle and its a great character for bosskilling but theres serious problems with surviving. I cant find any items that wouldnt screw my DPS while increasing my resistances and I cant outrun most monsters. What items / tactics would you suggest ? (Im in legendary now)






I have 4600 DPS wich increases after i use squall, my greatest damage is 90k with the autocast from my artifact (Thunderstorm) but my resistances and health are terribly low, even though all my items add some resistance...

Torso : Calypso's Cover or Vestment of the Overlord
Head : Hesione's Golden Veil
Arms : Archmage's Clasp
Legs : Demonskin Walkers
Neck : Aphrodite's Favor
Rings : Chiron's Loop + Celestial Band
Staff : Fingerbone of Boreas or a good, green, runed, lightning based staff
(Thundering Stygian Staff of the Tempest + Incarnation of Zeus' Thunderbolt)

From the looks of it, your gear is pretty good, as is your char. I deal less average damage and less DPS and I have very little problems in legendary (sure, you will be swallowing health potions frequently, but so what ?).

What skills do you use ? I always attack with Squall and Thunderball first and then start killing with my staff. By the time Thunderball runs out and the mobs get close, I use Ternion. About the only potential problem are fast moving strong meleers, but that is what health potions are for

Reading this makes me realize how scewed I am. I'm just before Delphi and my oracle's DPS is 1680. She's lvl 60 and the only really good armor I have is Hesoine's Golden Veil (which was actually given to my by potpie) I do have Adept's Bracers which aren't too bad. Gera's Walking Stick staff. Some leg covers that give me 35% movement....... My artifact is Fire based with 30% elemental damage, XXXX's Might or something.
Maybe i'll just farm the crap out of legendary greece. Oh yeah I also have to steal some points from somewhere and try this squall maxed. I am currently using chainlighting and ternion with unholy /dark covenent so I dont run out of mana and get the damage boost. Maybe i'll steal from there.

Anyhow count your blessings dude, you're oracle way better off then mine.

Seriously, I would suggest getting some poision resistance. -95% ?? Ouch!

nobody said they found all their oracle gear with their oracle themself. How much of that wouldn't come from other chars? But yes still a little bit f*cked up

Demonskin Walkers and Calypsos Cover were not found by my Oracle, the rest is his legit gear. He did find the vestment though, but I like the look of Calypso better (apart from that the two are very much the same).

Granted, this Oracle also was my farming char

Whoa thanks for all your replys, i usualy use squal followed by ternion attack spam. My main problem are the archers that i cant cast squall on before they crit me 1.5k damage (when i dont have alot of pierce res) and the "BladeDancers" that can pulverize me before I can realise what hit me. And ofcourse massive poison bosses like cerberus, i cant find any poison res items except chirons loop but thats a measly 40%

Get used to Thunderball, the stun really makes a difference as mobs won't reach you that often / fast.

there are no such archers, for me Squall always comes before they hit me

40% isn't exactly measly, Aphrodites Favor and Demonskin boots will pretty much provide the rest you need, these 3 items give me 170% (50 + 50 + 70).

With some help of my hamachi friends I increased my dps and resistances, can any PRO's tell me what items I need to boost my dps even more? Right now my Oracle can clear Legendary Typhon with Xmax Mod (yep thats 3 Typhons V.S. me) cant clear Hades though...
