hello, i recently begun a spellbinder (defense plus spirit) and i noticed that when i am facing undead (currently in normal greece), they seem immune to the slowing effects of the deathchill aura. i might expect them to be immune to the vitality effects since i dont yet have the 3rd level necrosis add-on for deathchill which reduces vitality resistence, but i expected the slowing effect to work without any problems. does the aura simply never work against undead, or does it only work when you gain access to necrosis, thus making undead vulnerable to vitality damage so that the aura will proc and hit them each second?

Try to level up and spend some points on the deathchill aura. You can't see the skeletons slowing down, but they really do. You don't need necrosis to make it work.

Hi again. Sorry to appear twice in a row but
the deatchill aura works with undead like it works with beastman, beast, construct and magical. The aura that works efficiently with undead is the spirit ward.

ah, i think you are right about it slowing. if i look carefully, i can see the difference now that i have it at a full 25%. i think i was being fooled because when the aura ticks, it doesnt display the hit graphic on undead, because the "hit" implies damage, and to undead the aura does none. the slowing effect does seem to work though. thanks.
also, is it recommended to go for one point in both the anti-undead skills on the far right of the tree, the one that adds damage to undead and the one that reduces damage from undead? seems like a decent bonus for just 2 points, but then they also both drain energy per second. this could be troublesome early. |

The special effect that the aura has on the undead is that it allows you to leach life from them--very very helpful. This complete tree of 3 skills is top notch and worth maxing eventually.
I have used the anti-undead skills on the far right of the tree. It is useful only early on, and not that useful really. |

If I were you I'd first go on the less damage from undead; safety first of all.

i currently have some points in necrosis but i am not noticing the life reduction effect (signaled by the red splotch when the aura procs) against skeletons. do i simply require additional resistence reduction in order for the %life reduction to take effect? i think i am around -50% at the moment with necrosis. the aura visibly procs against other undead, such as zombies.
