Default Enchanter Build

Hi everyone!

Well, i'm going to make a new build in Masteries to add to the others i already got, more specifically an Enchanter (Sorcery+Construction).
However, i can't make up my mind if i'm going to be melee based or a caster one.
It's a fact that Construction has a nice sinergy with maces, just as Sorcery boosts (and is boosted) by the use of staffs. I was thinking of melee to see how a more hybrid character works, but i'm afraid that having lower INT may cause my spells to be weak...

What do you think it suits best in this case?

Hi there,

This hybrid idea sounds good!

From melee side:

1. You do not have to be afraid of your life, for you will have ENOUGH all, but poison, resistances!!

2. You will have quite high dmg and little speed increase with e.g. Way of the Lightning and the passive boost for mace weapons.

From the caster side:

1. Well, the spells cost a lot for they are designed more for casters but with maxed Elemental Shield and its last synergy your mana problem will be reduced a lot. I do not recommend using Concentration much though, for your dps and all the speed would be reduced to zero... If you want to cast spells often, you will have to use blue potions often... If you really want to use Concentration you will have to have VERY high speeds, but even then the game will probably calculates wierdly, as it does often, and reduce your speeds more than -20%...

2. The spell dmg increase from INT can be substituted with "+any kind of spell dmg you want to use". You know, you gotta compromise little with your gear...but do not forget you can also use almost any gear with Sorcery mastery, which provides you with -% requirements... So you might be even able to put some more points into INT...

Really hybrid...

Do not forget to Automaton and +4 to all skills!

Good luck!!

Really appreciated for your help, i.n.s.a.n.e

In fact, i'm in the mood of trying something new, so a melee hybrid maybe suits well what i'm looking for, as you say

I didn't even remember that Sorcery lowers strenght requirement for armor and weapons... that way, i can add more point to INT to boost up my spells, and use a mace when the mobs come close. The automaton is indeed nice for distracting the enemies and to add a nice extra damage

Construction is also good to help mana regeneration, so i don't have to be constantly gulping mana pots!

No problem.

But...I have just realised (when you said that..), the Elemental Armor will not reduce requirements for weapons.. Sorry...but still, you can pump only what the mace needs and put the rest in INT, and you can also use some mace with some type of HIGH elemental dmg on it and this will do the job too I think...

Yeah, you're right... since i also have a Paganist (Sorcery + Mysticism) i was confunding Elemental Armor with Study. The last one reduces INT and DEX requirements for both armor and weapons, while Elemental Armor reduces STR for armor and shields! My mistake
