The .tex files are inside .tqm, why not just unpack it?

Unpack it with what ?? Winzip ?

I'm not sure with TQMM. It seems to me that it's a program like TQVault or something that need to upgrade version each time there's a new patch for the game and I try to avoid this kind of program. Am I right about it ?

With the .tex change, I keep the option of retreiving my back-up file of creatures.arc and get back to the original game.

No you are dead wrong. TQMM can replace game resources in "...\TitanQuest\Resources\creatures.arc" archives. The resources are models, skins, textures, animations and stuff like that. They have no impact on the games functionality, only on how it looks. There could be a few exceptions of course but none of the currently available TQM packages mess with them. So it is without doubt compatible with TQ1.30 and because TQIT reuses those game resources it works with that as well.

And yes, the *.tqm files are simply renamed *.zip files.

Thanx for the answer TheRaven. I have no intention of discrediting your work, I just like to know what are the side effets of what I'm download on my PC.

If I understand, your program only affect the creatures.arc file, so I can put back the original creatures.arc file at any time ?

I've extract the .tex file from the .tqm file, thanx for the tips !

That's absolutely understandable and I can only agree. I fail to recall how many times some untested and buggy hack has messed up my games, so I didn't take offense at all.
