Maybe I just don't get the point, but why don't you just apply alpha transparency to parts of your skin and look what happens?
[EDIT]Ah, ok, I see now the problem. Didn't try that before but it seems there is no real alpha information on the skins, just 100% or no transparency :-( What exactly did you do to get alpha on your model? I think in you other thread you said something about the mesh? Last edited by HeMan : 08-24-2008 at 01:21 AM. |

I changed the shader in the mesh. It's not something I did with artmanager (lord how wonderful that would be).
Codemajor has good instructions on how to do it with a hex editor, though I used poa's mesh decompiler as if it were a hex editor. Definately not the fastest or best way to change the shader info, but I wasn't exactly pwning with the hex editor. If you'd like to make some transparenty skins (partial or total, whatevs!) then please feel free, please. I've tried the mesh with varying levels of alpha, though I haven't tried like just the arms with transparency but no transparency on the legs, for example. Don't see why it wouldn't work, though. I've had partial transparency on other creatures I've used this shader information on. |

You can download the alpha-enabled mesh here: http://www.titanquest.net/forums/ski...ment-mesh.html
But it's not total invisibility. If you want to get rid of the hair, you'll have to alpha out the hair skin (it's a separate piece ilke a helmet). The problem is, everytime you put a helmet on, you'll get hair with it (since they build the hair into the hat mesh). |

Hi MunderBunny,
Thanks for the link. I'm still hoping for Espectro without the hair. I'd be playing around with screenshots and not putting on a helmet, so hair with helmet is fine. How do I go about alpha-ing out the hair? GQ |
