I tried searching, under this thread's title, but found nothing.
I've seen the .tex file for the characters (thanks to all you great members for conversion methods) and whoa, is it ever packed in there. Has aspiring graphic savants found a clean way to sperate the differnent sections of body for editing. I'm trying my best but I don't want incorrect sections to overlap and cancel each other. Hmmm... I do have GIMP but not a lot of knowledge how it works or what amazing functions it has. What I was referring to was how it seems the torso and thigh? sections are pixel to pixel next to each other and it was difficult for me to see where one ends and the other begins. I thought of an idea though: Markers.
I was just gonna use a bright, out-of-place color to see where things were going. Layers you say? I need some kinf of tutorial for Gimp. I need to learn a lot more. Not enough great skins available to all! |

The layers I was referring to would make it possible to paint parts of the skin without painting othres. Think of it exactly as they are named: layers. It is like laying a new sheet of cel paper on top of your picure and painting on it.
From your previous post I think I understand what you need now. In order to determine which section goes to which part, yes you need markers. We do not have a tool that loads the 3D model with the texture so the only way is to mark and test it in-game. |

Of course, there is another way to do this WITHOUT modifying your .arcs at all. See this thread by Evil666: http://www.titanquest.net/forums/ski...line-game.html You can use the same method with monsters, items, etc.; and with .msh's as well as .tex's; and in IT as well as TQ. |
