Skins for Dummies was at first a batch file that replace the standards dyes colors by skins in the Creatures.arc file.
But, I learn recently there was another way to do it, without using any batch file formula, and without altering the Creatures.arc file.

So, here is the simplified version of the steps to follow, thanx to Ulysse86 from JV.com for his knowledge.

***WHY SHOULD I USE SKINS FOR DUMMIES ?
The idea behind this initiative is to have a "preselected" skins package, easy to installed, for peoples playing the game ONLINE. If any players of a group playing online download this package, each skins will be associated to the same dyes color so anybodies in the group will see the right skins on the right characters.

***INSTALLATION
Copy the "creatures" folder in the Titan Quest "Database" directory.
If you have Immortal Throne use the Titan Quest directory, not the Immortal Throne directory.

Should look like this:
c:\program files\titan quest\database\creatures

If you want to remove one or many skins, simply remove it (or them) from the male (or female) folder, inside the pc folder of the creatures folder you have put in Database.

If TQ does'nt find any new skins definition for a dyes color in the new creatures folder, he will use the original skins by default.

c:\program files\titan quest\database\creatures\pc\male\xxx.tex
c:\program files\titan quest\database\creatures\pc\female\xxx.tex

Black Wolves Skins (for wolves pet in Nature Mastery)

Replace the current gray wolf skin by a black wolf skin (See picture)

Shark's Nymphy Nymph skin (for Nymph pet in Nature Mastery)

Replace the current Nymph skin by a semi-nude Nymph skin (See picture)

Great idea.. you may want to include Thaly's Blond Paladin Skin just don't forget to include warning about the blond helmet will apply to all male tunics.

Maybe I'm just missing something, but I install as instructed, but still only have the 5 'basic' tunic colors to choose from during creation. I get access to the new skins assigned to those colors, so I know its working. How do I gain access to the other tunic colors so I can have access to all the skins?

you buy other colours from vendors in game , black can be bought from the blacksmith guy (quest)

GWarior is right. You can buy any of the dye color from a merchant. Hope you get the skin you want !

If you got other questions, their alway someone here to answer it !

Thanks guys, I thought there was some way to increase the starting selection of colors. I just picked the 5 I liked best and renamed the files to shuffle the colors around so I could have the skins I wanted when I started.
