Up to the point I've gotten, I'm not sure a guide is really needed. It's been fairly straightforward stabby stabby action until I recently started using study prey more often. Hopefully I can get some recharge reduction and use CotH most of the time.

I would like to know how viable a dual wield sword slayer fares. Does the 10-20% lower base piercing and the loss of volley kill that build?
I've got a duel wield Slayer that I play. In the later levels, equipment becomes a very vital point of concentration. At the level I'm at (48), I need to concentrate on resists because in Legendary, casters really mess me up. However, don't neglect good DPS on your weapons. If you do, you'll get owned. Later tonight, I'll see about writing something up on how I built my character and how I suggest that someone build one. I did some things that I wish I hadn't done, so I'll fix those in the guide.

Below are the skills that I currently have for my slayer:

Start first with Warfare:

Then move in to Hunting at around lvl 12:

Hopefully this gives someone some sort of idea as to the build. Cheers!

Hi, this is my first post here, and I'll ask about something beyond broken!

YouTube - Titan Quest - The Deadly Aura

Could you tell me how can I make that build? That's a lvl43 Evoker on Epic. I mainly want him for farming... I have a lvl20 Slayer, which goes fairly well for being my first char ever, but I have no really good items. I'd like to farm for better weapons and armor, but he kills too slow ATM.
Can you tell me how to get to that level of awesomeness?

probably something like this...
TitanCalc by stonedonkey - A Titan Quest Calculator - Evoker

Your gear will be very important though also... +fire dmg/ +elemental dmg will be very helpful...

Mmm, thanks for the quick reply. Could you give me some advice for the early levels? I fear it will be too hard for me to rely on the final skills early on. And, also, about stats distribution... what should I pump?

You probably want to work as a Melee toon for most of the game... I know some people(I think Infares suggested this...) like to put all points into ring of flame really early on and that would carry you through most of normal I would imagine and have the playing style you are looking for. You will need to be a blue pot whore though. You can use dream and phantom Strike and its upgrade to utterly destroy most people in normal.
I don't really know what you would chose when it comes to gear, early on or later game. You might want to check Gamebanshee.com out. It largely depends on how you want to play. Do you want to do Staves or Melee? It is hard to give you tips on how to play for fun... I dont know what you like. I would go melee and try and find some gear that is str based and adds elemental and fire dmg, but that would lean more to attacking and less to your ring of fire and burning death...

Thanks again for the reply. I really enjoy playing as melee characters, I rarely play any magic based classes, in any RPG I play. But this time, I'd like to try it, at least. So, I guess I'll want a "mage" build this time, and I guess that means building up INT, some STR to wear better equipment and a little DEX, to not get hit by criticals a lot... The rest, into Health and Energy when I'm done.
I'll probably be hitting with staves when I get one that's worth it, with good mods on it. In the mean time, I'll stick with a basic spear/mace/whatever + shield, to have a little more defence and still be able to deal some damage.

Thanks again, and any other tip you could tell me will always be welcome

I recommend highly against putting any points into MP or HP. Later on your equipment will have a ton of these, and the point investments are much better spent on INT, DEX or STR.

If you want to play a magic-based Evoker, I also would recommend not putting any points into STR, and focus exclusively on INT. If you find you need some DEX in order to wear some mage armor, put a few points into it. Generally around 160 DEX is "good enough" to wear most of the best mage armors.

Oh and these best mage armors give something like +1000 HP and +1000 MP, which would be a ton of stat points if you actually put them into HP / MP using your level up attribute points. So once again don't do it!

Great, thanks for the reply. I guess I'll stop adding points to STR (I added a few just to use better armor) and focus on INT, giving DEX a few every once in a while.
I'm currently building up the Dream Mastery, I guess it's better to get it to lvl32 ASAP before pumping the Earth Mastery and the skills, so I can get the Trance skill earlier.
I spent a point in the Earth pet and, even without it, I'm flying through Normal: 10 levels in 3 hours. This build seems great, way better than my Slayer.
Thanks again

Thumbs up Re: Titan Quest Builds Compendium

Noticed this has been inactive for a long time, but I did just find it and have written up an Assassin Build.

That is the link to it if interested in adding.
