That's what I said!
I've been playing a spear slayer up to 45 Epic in Asia, and have been kicking butt with decent equipment so far (epic jewelry, green armor, and Phorke's Trident as the centerpiece.)

I'm worried that I'm going to get trampled in Legendary due to lousy defense, just like my conqueror did with his lousy offense.

Up to the point I've gotten, I'm not sure a guide is really needed. It's been fairly straightforward stabby stabby action until I recently started using study prey more often. Hopefully I can get some recharge reduction and use CotH most of the time.

I would like to know how viable a dual wield sword slayer fares. Does the 10-20% lower base piercing and the loss of volley kill that build?

Good idea, but should probably wait for the expansion first. Who knows what will be happening with skills being improved or nerfed.
