Easily a Haruspex (hunting + dream) or Ranger (hunting + nature)
Spend your stat points roughly evenly between Dex and strength but any spare points go into strength (you need about 430 dex base to use the best bow in the game; everything else into strength to allow you to wear the best armor and strength actually does boost bow damage as well in this game despite what the manual states.) DO NOT buy any mana/hp/int with this class at all. Later on your regen is good enough to cover it and early monsters deal very little damage anyway. as far as skills you have two options - Either go heavy AOE (area of effect) and max out dream early on to begin with as hunting starts of weak; or if you really want to be a hunter from the start then straight into hunting skills. here is my personally recommended build if you want to buff your bow up from the start: http://www.titancalc.com/TitanCalc.a...-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 People have loads of different views by I like to get marks and scatter up as early as possible. Stuff like gouge and volley are your next targets and should be maxed after marks hits 6ish. Some of the synergies are very nice but they are the bare bones needed to handle early bosses imo. Maybe one in herbal as well for the increased hp. WARNING: You will have to move a lot and speed gear is very important early on so you can out run bosses in order to get enough distance to damage. IF you go nature you have the advantage of 3-4 pets (depending on if you get +skill gear) to assist with aggro and damage a bit but I would still go dream as you can nuke your way through Normal as dream very easily and then respec to all out bow damage at the start of epic (where the game starts to get good and challenging). Hope that helps; Guides exist for both recommended classes all over the forums. Last edited by Lepruk86 : 07-10-2008 at 12:16 AM. |

Nature is just as easy;
Ranger is just as easy once you get past the first few gritty levels. The problem is that Hunting and Nature trees start off relatively weak. It isn't until you start maxing some of the skills that a Ranger shines. Though once you do I would say a Ranger is one of the best classes to be; end game you can tank most bosses with your hp regen out ticking the dps output of your bow and pets. But yeah the only thing you could do is just level hunting then use the defiler application to simply copy your character (about level 20ish) then you can try both styles without having to restart. But whether you go ranger or Haruspex stats are the same (430dex/rest in strength) so the character will be fine for both. Last edited by Lepruk86 : 07-10-2008 at 12:17 PM. |

Well I prefer going straight for scatter/volley/gouge myself. But then that is why I like game's like TQ - there isn't really a right way to do it; it's all choice.
I know gouge is a little pointless in legendary but I find it starts out strong. Last edited by Lepruk86 : 07-11-2008 at 12:38 PM. |
