Have been thinking of this for some time myself, and had a few ideas. How about:
A Poison Bomber Sorcerer: Sorcerer It requires some -recharge stuff and poison boosting gear if to be possible. Squall then Poison Bomb and Thunderball...If you want Poison you'll have to use skills that reduce monster general resistances for this to work. Dreams ToW would do this aswell but only on Melee range. Dreamkilling Poison Bleeder: Dreamkiller Bleeding is very hard to get doing high damage and poison will take very long time to kill itself on Legendary, but if you has pierce damage as main damage and Poison/Bleeding as support damage you could do very high damage on legendary... I don't know about a Melee Warlocks efficiency, but Necrosis from Spirit mastery reduces resistance to Bleeding by 81% when maxed. If you can find gear dealing enough flat bleeding damage it might be possible. Bleeding Warlock: Warlock

That seems pretty cool. Confusion AND stun. I think poison gas bomb is under-appreciated. I put one point in it on my rogue, it got a few more from +skill items, and along with Shrapnel, it can take out or seriously wound groups of monsters. The slow effect gives you lots of time to decide what you want to do, then you can throw those 5 knives with confuse and poison on them, the monsters will be all loopy and bleeding.

You could make a slavemaster - get -100% recharge, max Enslave Spirit and create your own monster army

Wasn't there some problem with -recharge not working from some sources?
I haven't tried the spirit mastery yet, still going through Legendary with my conqueror. That monster army thing makes me think of D2 Necros. With +skills, you could get the whole screen filled up. Necromancer - slavemaster of the dead! |

I know for sure that CookieMonster loves doing lots of weird builds. Perhaps worth asking him.

-rechrage doesn't work if it comes as an affix. Many items have native -recharge, so it's not that much of a trouble.
You could try passive auramancers, either Evoker (Trance of Wrath + Ring of Flame), Conjurer (Deathchill + RoF) or Diviner (Deathchill + ToW). So you just run around while your aura does the killing. It's pretty fun, and all these auras work in a decent manner in normal difficulty.

What Poinas said - but with Archmage Clasp alone you can already get up to -45%recharge... and with the unofficial beta patch the -%recharge on suffixes has been fixed too.
Anyway, it's not that hard to get -100% recharge. Or anything close will do too for Enslave Spirit |
