Hello, just recently started playing both titan quest and masteries.
I just started trying out Beastry as primary - later ill propably pick up construction. Unless someone knows if other masteries have some beast boosting goodies im not aware of... Anyhow, im now 19th lvl and wanted to give some feed back on the skills ive tried out so far. Swarm 10/10 - Fun skill and nice at the beginning, however it doesnt seem to do more than 50 poison dmg - even with mastery shrine and skill lvl 14... Even more so, as the Swarm does only poison they dont do squat against undeads and all those... Maybe Swarm should have some other ability at higher lvls? Like confuse enemy or something. Then they could atleast distract the enemy if not kill. But as im not very far in the game... i wonder if this will remain useful skill after normal act I ? Birds 3/10 - Well, unless this skill gains some special abilities later on that im not aware of, this could use some tuning. The birds dont do much dmg, die easily and will disappear after 10 seconds - which might not be so bad if you could atleast spam them - but the recharge time is looooooooooong... This skill definitely seems to need somekind of boost. Demon phalanx 2 points - the demons look redicilous...i assume theyll look much more "fearsome" later on? It seems that sometimes they use their synergy ability alot and sometimes not at all..even with four. Going to try this one more when i get points.. Pal Patine 2-3 points and one in the special ability. I hope this one recharge time will get faster with more points - because with me it gets killed all the time and i need to wait like 5 mins or something to summon it again. That is not fun. Could it be possible to change the model into something less ghost bat and more real Palpatine or something? ![]() In general, i would like to see the beastry have some big-*** demon or something. Havent tried out horse yet ofcourse, but there -should- be somekind of big behemoth of destruction or golem or something, the mastery wont have as much cool factor otherwise ![]() Ive tried only few of the masteries so far, but i do like them more than the original ones. Great job with the mod! |

put a point to the stallion. Seems get itself killed in 10 seconds or so as its super aggressive. I took the point away and put it in Iaso instead. Ill try the stallion again much later when ive put some points to Iaso and its synergy + maybe the "finger-skill" in construction skill tree thats supposed to give dmg resistance for pets.
Ill stick to beetles, demon phalanx and the swarm for now. The beetles dont seem to do too much dmg (18..) at 10/16, but atleast they shoot and seem to last much longer than the demon phalanx even though the hitpoint difference isnt all that big. Also they the beetles recharge isnt all that bad compared to say Palatine or the Stallion. oh, forgot to mention that i maxed the birds skill - but then quickly took the points away and put them to beetles instead. While the birds are fun and even useful, the short duration and long recharge time dont make it usable atleast in the beginning. Maybe later when i get -50% recharge or something, but i think its not very good that lvl4 skill would need lots of -recharge to be useful... |

I too took the points i had into the horse out, i had to do a LOT of running away from mobs in order to get him to run/port back to me so i could heal him, otherwise he would run in and get owned, even on normal masteries (I normally play in Xmax). The damage he does is very nice, but he gets owned way too easily and is on a long recast so he just wasn't up enough to be worth investing the points.
I also had a lot of problems trying to keep the turtle alive, not cause he didn't have enough ways to avoid damage, but i think his taunt might be a little TOO effective since he uses it and EVERYTHING is on him and he just gets nailed. Taking the points out of him and pumping the beetles worked MUCH better, they do an even better job of tanking since there's more than one of them and they tend to pull first on their own anyway, the recast on them is so much shorter thats its not so painful when they die either. |

I havent actually put single point to the beastry healing skill. I dont know if it is very fast to cast, but ive been thinking about taking the construction mastery as my second - the first aid station "seems" like it could be better for healing this big army of mine. Would be real pain to heal each and everyone one of them one by one...
Right now the back bone of my pet party is the phalanx (dmg), beetles (shoot + can take some beating), the swarm (try to distract some enemies and make a bit dmg + look cool..) - the recharge time for all of them are pretty good. Iaso's usefulness is still a bit of mystery to me, atleast it doesnt seem to die often. I think ill boost it when i can find out... The ghost bat (palpatine) ive got as well, but havent put many points to it yet so for now its mostly for show. It does die often too quickly (xmax..) and the recharge takes long.. The birds i would like to use, but like i mention earlier they suffer from short duration and LONG recharge time. The turtle i havent tried out yet, someone mention that it recharges slowly and dies quickly because it attracts the enemies so ive skipped it for now. Can someone comment me how it works later on? The horse id like to have, but it dies way too fast to be really useful atm. Too bad there arent really any defensive buffs for beastry. the suicide seagulls i also havent had the time to try out yet, though they do sound fun. btw, what masteries you people like to use with beastry? beastry as primary or secondary? |

Bestiary was my first mastery. I then went Archery and I'm liking it so far. I play xmax and have had little problem with the demon stallion. Iaso seems to heal it enough and if it goes low I stop and let it heal.

BTW sick bay the construction heal only castes ~2x per cast max for on my cons/beast-master (only got 1 point in it though) and it will only heal past first time if theres mobs around (most of the time it only heals once when first casted). I find that the beastiary heal is usually enough with the Iaso HoT spell to keep most of my stuff alive and if its not well SB dont really make enough of a difference unless every pet has been hit healing wise (and even then it only 2 hits max worth back), the other buffs my be worth it due to + DA, OA and %damage.
Though if you want big damage for bosses archery + way of sickness arrow is the way to go. |

Nothing that I can see. Haven't played in a while. You can also play this with Allskins. I bleieve you have to choose the skin for your character and put it on before you try that toon in the Masteries Mod and it will be good to go
