Default Encouragement question

Is the -% resist a % or a flat decrease? (asking due to how confusing TQ is some are flat and some are %)

It is supposed to be percentual, so it should work percentual. Flat decrease has only Way of Sickening arrow (Archery) I think...

If that the case than thank you on saving me 12 skill points as it useless for physical damage (the most any mob has is 10% so that a less than 0.05% increase per point). And even if I change to a sword or spear I wont get that much out of it.

The most mob has only 10% of physical resist?

So, should we put there -flat resists?

Yep and that the dactyl (and even then it might only be one of the 2 types) which turns up in about 1 in 3 Hades runs. (Cant find the thread where it was stated though.) It still be useful against pierce resistance mobs and for hybrids or leechers vs skellys.
I will try and find the thread about mobs resist. Physical has really no resist outside of armour.

Edit: though -16% of there resistances is very low imo as it means then need to have a resistance of 50-119% to make it worth while no matter (over 119% resist it stays above 100%).
Agaist the dactyl it works out you get back 1.6% of your phys damage for 12 points.
Dunno how effective it be for piercing etc without some resist numbers for monsters.

Ah, great..but it works at least for bleeding, leech, etc., as you say... If it will not be enough, I think we can tweak it little if PinkFrog do not mind too...

But it is wierd they have such a low resists...I thought Legendary monsters have tons of VERY high resists...

Yes for everything but physical (the exception) and even then i dont think they get massive bonuses think its a 50% improvement if i remember right. IE its +50% so a 50% resistance mob will be 75% in legendary, if only i could find that thread.

i have to agree that a flat resist reduction would be far better

i defiled a high level spear character to test out discouragement with sickness on act 4 demons and did not notice anymore damage. i used the mod to see all damage fyi.

edit: Do mobs have the same 80% cap on primary resists as players?
