Yes, there certainly is (though it still won't count as a weapon attack). Check those hero skeletons and zombies who shoot projectiles out around them. I think those big moose dudes do as well, don't they? Wait, Dream Surge! The nightmare pet skill shoots projectiles out in a radius and it's easy to find. Check the template on that. The radius itself is likely just the configuration of the projectile class, not a particular template.
