Default Sick Bay questions.

does sick bay only heal you once per summon? thast how it seems to be for me. it just heals me as soon as i summon it and then it just sits there doing nothing even if i take damage or get low on life. i only have one point in it if that helps

*Edit* never mind. i figured it out. i forgot it has a recharge time for the heal and i was moving away too soon. a mod can delete this post or leave it

It's strange but the "buff when idle" command for the A.I. seems to be broken or something. It never worked well or not at all, to be precise. It's set to "buff when enemy is in sight" and it works well.

According to my, on the other hand, short experience with Construction, there are two facts that drop this skill from very good to useless. First and foremost, almost every monster 1-hits the altar (I'm currently playing normal orient). Together with its outstanding aggro abilities and its small area of effect, turns out a very short lived column.

Secondly, there is the Amphetamine thing, which is the main reason I got this skill for. How does it activate? As it did nothing when I tested it on safe places, I thought the whole buff process happened only when injured, so that the Sick bay could heal you and then trigger the buffing. I let some mobs hurt me a bit and then I hit the sick bay button. Worked.

But then I read here that it works "when enemy is in sight". I confirmed it using the skill near some mobs who were busy with the guards (being I full-health), but I can get only Emergency dressing to work. Does Amphetamine activate upon taking damage? If it doesn't, then it must be "when injured" or something like that. I did got Amphetamine in the beginning and I am now confirming it. When mobbed, you somehow get it.

In any case, I think it takes way too long to get all the buffs. I know I don't know anything about the balance in the mod, but perhaps it would be a good idea either making it indestructible or making the buffs instantaneous. A larger area of effect would be welcomed too.

As always, these are only suggestions and thanks again for the mod.

Sick Bay takes time to cast its spells. You need to keep enemies in sight for it to get around to Amphetamine. It works best with a defensive approach - drop Sick Bay and Barricades, aggro the mobs with some sort of missile (Landmines works well), then let them come to you and die in a heap. Once the buffs are in effect, you can charge out.

Funny thing is, while keeping enemies in sight (just in sight, you're doing nothing because they're busy with the guards), Amphetamine doesn't activate. Emergency dressing does though. But in combat, Amphetamine works well. That's why I'm a bit confused.

By the way, I've been testing this with the first mob+guards in the hanging gardens.

Are you using that strategy? Is it worth it? Sounds too complicated to me. Does it work with bosses or either you and/or the sick bay are dead before you get Amphetamine?

I think the whole skill tree is kinda poorly done...doesn't seem like it'd be useful at all to anyone.
