After observing the very highly amplified power of any Hunting + ? class when it's using Study Prey, I was wondering about -resists in the Masteries Mod. I browsed all the skill trees, and as far as I can tell, there's only one skill that provides -resistances, and that's the Mysticism skill Exorcism, which maxes out at -25% to all enemy resistances, afaik.
Was this intentional? And to what extent is the lethality of an Archery build reduced without such a skill? While I'm quite firm in choosing Alchemy as a secondary mastery, I was unsure if I should try and gear my character with a great deal of -resists, or if the usual high pierce damage gear will be sufficient to create a high-powered farming character. Thanks, Chikken |

Nosferatu Vampire has a skill called sickness that lowers resists. I think it is like plague.

way of the sickening arrow has a 35% chance to lower resists, so it will go off a good amount. and according to the webpage, at max lvl the lower resist is 216. thats just crazy...but the webpage isnt up to date on a lot of the skills, it may have been reduced since then.

Yeah, I intended to rely on that skill for all my -resist needs upon seeing it on the mod site, but the in-game version has been nerfed from the 35% and 216res values on the webpage.
In-game, it's 5% across the board, with (up to) -216res, but I'm not too sure on the latter part. Hence, my search for alternate means to actually hurt things with high piercing resistance. Anyway, my Archer is having a great time with strategic use of Multiple Shots, which is actually quite fun ( )!Hoping to find good ways to tear up the xMax version of this mod when it's released, Chikken |

Then......what would you propose as the overall best Way skill for a high-pierce high-speed archer? Is the fire damage from Way of the Burning Arrow actually considerable at higher levels, or is there something I haven't seen about the other two skills?
