Chat?

So, yeah. I realize we don't have a chat feature, only a PM feature. It's not important, but I was thinking it'd be kinda neat if we had a feature similar to facebook(yea yea yea...), with the underlaying toolbar and the little friends thing? Just so we could talk to other people who are online.

Just a thought.

Ok, so I've set up an IRC channel, and the primary visitors are myself, Kir4, Dulahey(tried registering but failed apparently), and tyk(haven't seem him on the forums.) Also, we have bonobo who came in three or four times, and jiaco who visited me once. If you guys want to join, which you should, it's good ol' fun, the server is hosted on Gamesurge(irc.gamesurge.net:6667) and the channel is #TitanQuest.Net.

If you need a client, there's a free one like HydraIRC, or chatzilla, which is a plugin for firefox.
To login using Chatzilla, use this method...

Otherwise... it's hard to explain for every irc client. Basically, set up a nick, add the server for gamesurge, then join the channel by typing /join #titanquest.net.

I agree, actually. It'd give a use for the Buddy List other than (I only just recently found this out, ) when there online there's a plus at the bottom of the index next to their name. But, obviously there's many more important reasons than that. I think it'd be great, personally.

I think its useless, as the off topic section is farly full of... off topic... which can be used as a chat thread, get-to-know-us thread, etc. So, I guess I'd suggest no-no to this idea. It will only slow the site down. If you add it, I hope you will let us get our sigs the way they were.

If you don't like it, don't join it. Easy as that. And it really won't have much of an effect on the forums really, don't start that BS. Off topic chat doesn't give the instant response of say... when you want to discuss a mod proposition to a fellow modder, or set up a game using the fanpatch. It would make things like this easier. I mean for people like you who rather drop pessimistic comments in every thread, maybe it would suck, but most of the people who have replied seemed to think it was a decent idea.

Like anything, it will/would reflect the the mood/attitude of those participating at any given time.

It's a tool and service that I can see many enjoying. So is a gun lol

I think some will use it as intended and have fun with it and others might abuse it.

That's when Moderation will come into play I imagine
