You just got me curious about that now... Has anybody actually checked the user list lately....? Here's what I just found, sorting the list by number of posts ascending:
The first user with any posts is on page 866, and the first user with 20 posts (taking Violos's idea into consideration) is on page 1186!! That's... Uhm... A lot of inactive users.

Indeed it's a lot - I could imagine some inactive users and sometimes a user pops up saying that he's been lurking around for several months... but it's really a lot of inactive registered users...

I guess there's also a lot of spambots in there (a problem which is largely taken care off now).
And a bunch of doube accounts, where registration failed.

Still, it's a lot.

I still agree with you, I don't see why you'd join and yet not make a post. I have 10 of these appreciation point thingymajigs. Also, what's this "bonobo4 is on a distinguished road" thing?

That's the user reputation you have; every new member starts out with "on a distinguished road. When the reputation changes, the description changes too. And I assume the number of blocks, but we'll just see if that works, it might take a while

Thanks for that yerkerk. I gave you an appreciation point just for that. Right, so now as well as Administrator, Titan, etc ranks, we've got reputation ranks. I like this new idea.

Administrator (as well as moderator) is not really a rank though - it's an indication that I'm part of the staff.

Anyway, I do not really give a hoot about the reputation thing, but I will say that the site is really getting a lot of great attention from you yerkyerk. Thanks for that. It is great to see the forums both active and maintained.

Yeah, I know. I was just pointing that out. I tried to get the posts needed for post-related ranks, I got this. Tell me if incorrect.

The staff doesn't do a whole lot of damage, I use it to summon my minions (i.e. moderators). But my banhammer has a "100% chance of permastun" modifier on it
