There's this block in Boston with three dry cleaners. The competition between the three was fierce.

One Monday, the first dry cleaner put up a new sign, "Best Cleaner In The City."

Not to be outdone, the next day the second dry cleaner put up a sign, "Best Cleaner In The State."

Well, the first dry cleaner would have none of that, so on Wednesday he replaced his sign with "Best Cleaner In The Nation."

The second dry cleaner responded on Thursday with "Best Cleaner In The World."

The first dry cleaner decided he was going to settle it, so on Friday he put up the sign "Best Cleaner In The Universe." That ought to do it, he thought.


Next Monday the third dry cleaner put up his new sign, "Best Cleaner On The Block."
